ABOUT US
aiAutomotive commenced operations at Woodville South
Australia (SA) in 1999 after purchasing the site and business from Bliss
Automotive. In 2005 work commenced on acquiring additional businesses,
resulting in the purchase of 3 other companies, namely; Henderson Components
(SA), HPG Engineering (Victoria, Australia) and DAIR Operations (SA). These businesses were consolidated into
two facilities.
Woodville South Australia
This site employs 205 people and comprises 45,000m2 of factory
space. The plant was originally opened by Holden in 1924 and housed the
original Holden body build plant and tool room up until 1990.
Bayswater Victoria
This site employs 94
people and comprises 10,000m2 of factory space.
Our consolidation strategy was identified by key industry commentators as a
positive example of the direction the Australian automotive component industry
needed to follow in order to remain competitive in an increasingly competitive
global arena. Under the auspices of its parent company, the company continues
to follow a strategy of business expansion through organic business growth and
growth through the acquisition of strategically relevant businesses.
