Metal PRESSING
aiAutomotive has a wide range of pressing capabilities in
two key areas:
Coil Fed - High Speed - High Volume
The South Australian & Victorian operations have a total of 26 coil fed
presses ranging from 30T up to 400T, capable of processing coil up to 600mm
wide and 6mm thick. These presses are typically used for pressing high volume pressings,
for example:
- Seat frame components
- Instrument panel components
- Suspension & chassis components
- Building & electrical components
- Body & panel brackets
Sheet Fed - Low/Med Speed - Low/Med Volume
Both facilities have a total of 43 sheet fed presses ranging from 75T up to
1000T, capable of processing sheet up to 3600mm wide. Included in this range is a 1000T "A" class press
line for exterior panels and closures. These presses are typically used for pressing
low - medium volume pressed parts.
Examples of products produced include:
- Closures (hoods, decklids & doors)
- Fenders & quarter panels
- Chassis rails
- Building & electrical components
- Suspension parts
- Out of production automotive spares (mainly exterior)
